I broke my left ankle this morning...actually the tibia just above the foot. :dizzy:Shows up clear as a bell on the X-Rays. Next appointment is Thursday and the doc will decide whether surgery is needed.
Since you asked...I missed the last step coming down the staircase in my house. No, I don't drink anymore. Oddly my brother broke a bone in his foot some weeks ago and we have the same doctor. He's definitely going to wonder WTF? when this comes into his inbox.

I broke my right foot years back and walked it off painfully. Learned about it about a year later when I had my foot X-rayed for other reasons. Stupid heals and bad balance, but the drag show was good enough that I wandered around for a few hours in intense pain.

A year ago I broke my big toe on the same foot while putting on my underwear and snagging it while falling over. I recommend losing all feeling in your feet from diabetes if you are going to do tricks like that. Didn't feel a fucking thing and only had to get some antibiotics for the infection. I walked that shit off without any pain. The toe is still fat and barely moves much, but it serves it right for getting snagged. Fucking thing should have learned from the little one what is good for it.

Hope you feel better soon, and next time when the crew tells you to break a leg don't take them so literally.

Same thing that happened to my girlfriend a couple years ago. Bad step, broken tibia. Just above her ankle. She wound up with an impressive collection of hardware in that part of her leg.

I think I got somewhat lucky. No surgery, at least not yet, so hopefully I won't have to worry about that.

Still in a cast, if I don't do anything stoopid between over Thanksgiving, I should get a walking boot instead of :geezer: Have a great T'giving everyone!
