    I didn't like the tone Dayton's been taking with implied threats to other board members. After consulting with @Anna I gave him a one month break from this place.

    I know it's extremely unlikely that he'd actually act on any of his "threats", but people have been banned for far less.

    Hopefully he'll calm himself down during his vacation.

    I don't like bans, but I can't disagree with this one at all. Dayton was going to keep pushing things until someone's information got out, and then the potential liability for shit to go down would have been too great to ignore. I think this should, hopefully, nip the issue in the bud.

    Yep. He's been warned for this shit before. I assume a permaban is in order for the next infraction on his issue... it would be a shame to lose any longtime WF member and a founding member at that, but this is ridiculous.

    Boy needs to see a shrink before he goes all John Goodman at the end of Barton Fink.

    Haven't had a chance to look at the thread, but I respect shootER and Anna's judgment, and yes, he has been treading very close to the line lately, so there is no reason to give him any leeway.

    I respect their judgment as well. I admit I was starting to feel a little uncomfortable with what Dayton was posting. I kept thinking "someone is going to take this too far."

    So, out of curiosity, do we flip the switch to lift the ban or does the software do it for us? :unsure:

    And while we're at it, has Ted's ban been lifted for reals? I have read some of his posts at TBBS and he's definitely changed for the better. Even saw him laying the hammer down on a guy for saying women shouldn't do special forces.

    Plus, there are no more ladies for him to creep on here, so there's that :lol:

    That's a good question. When I instituted it, I selected the duration so I'm assuming that it'll automatically unban him on 10/2, but I don't know for sure.

    @John ?

    The software should automatically unban Dayton tomorrow, yes.

    That's what happened the last time -- he simply came back without any flip of a switch on our end.
