What if there was a YouTube video showing you how to make a hand-held laser powerful enough to cut glass?
How long until Florida Man builds one and attempts laser eye surgery on himself and/or household pets?
Of all the stuff in that video, the one bit that made me cringe was the kid drilling metal with his face a few inches away, wearing no eye protection. Either this guy is going to invent anti-gravity or he's going to Darwin himself right out of the gene pool.
Look at it this way, the people most likely to watch this video and say, "That guy doesn't wear eye protection, so why should I?" are the ones most likely to want to use the thing to blind a pilot or someone driving a car. If that can take them out before they get somebody killed playing with what's basically a weapon, I'm all for it.
At that power level, don't make any mistakes. You'll be permanently blind before you even realize you've f**ked up.
