150 years after the end of the American Civil War, enough people have finally come to the realization that maybe we shouldn't have statues of traitors to our nation.

What of the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame stars for Hollywood rapists and sex offenders? Is it appropriate to dig those up and throw them away too?

Think about when, why and where most of our Confederate monuments were put up: during times of racial unrest (translation: black people getting uppity), as a display of white power, and often erected on land confiscated from black people or sitting right on the edge of black neighborhoods that were getting a little too prosperous.

The only way Hollywood Walk of Fame stars would be equivalent to Confederate monuments is if Return of Kings, or some other group of MRA asshats, were campaigning to add a star for Weinstein on the grounds that "he knew how to keep the bitches in their place," asking for it to be done at taxpayer expense, and positioning it right in front of the local NOW chapter.
