I would agree that one of our new enemies is radical islam. But IMHO the bigger threat is so many young people (our future!) thinking full blown socialism/communism is acceptable.

if you have a certain necessary skillset or ability that enables you to serve your fellow citizens through government employment is that "full blown socialism/communism" on a major nationwide scale or just a portion of the nation's total employment? I think at any time around 1 percent of the US population is serving in the military. That's hardly everybody last time I checked. Maybe your country doesn't "need" a military since the U.S. has your back but we aren't in that position.
