This new avatar is an animated gif. When I look at my posts, it is not animated. Anyone got a clue where I have failed?

Looks like you only have one frame of the the .gif file. You uploaded it to WF, you need to save place the file on Photobucket or something similar and then link to the .gif file to have it animated.

No joy. It's now directly linked to Photobucket. I look at it there, it's animated, but not as an avatar.

Not sure. You seem to be within the size limits and whatnot.

You've had animated avatars before, haven't you?

When I first uploaded the original version of my avatar, it didn't animate.

Try deleting it and reloading it. Maybe that will work.

The board is resizing it from 246x246 to 200x200 and it's breaking the animation.

    Noodlesoup wins the kewpie doll.

I didn't even have to be smart enough to resize an animated gif. One of the first google search results for "resize animated gif" was a page that does it for you.

    Of course, not great though.

What happened? Is one frame slightly smaller than the rest? It's like an odd strobing effect.

I thought it was part of the desired effect.

Makes it look like the thrusting is shaking the frame of the avatar itself.
