Fortunately the immigrants are extremely socially conservative and will force the Democrat Party to abandon liberalism.
I know enough that circumstances change from 240 years ago. Back when the issue of "taxation without representation" was an issue only white, male landowners could vote for anything, so arguably THAT is the very foundation of America as well. So why does Chardman hate America?
Social issue conservatism has never proven potent enough to overcome financial interests. Ultimately, unless a massive foreign crisis is an issue, people will generally vote for the party they see as giving them or helping them get more money.
So it's just the weird food and the fact that their kids might grow up to not only learn your language but spell better than you do that's got your knickers in a knot.
Try what, you stupid dipshit? What part of die by your own hand is it that you don't understand? Do you not understand even the simplest of sentences?
Fiscally too, often holding down multiple jobs and starting businesses. Unfortunately the party they would seem a perfect fit for would rather court the dwindling middle-aged white male demographic.
It's that they are here ILLEGALLY ! They don't fucking belong here! They broke the fucking law! Every country in the world has immigration policies, why must you insist that the U.S. be different?
Almost half of the hispanics outside of California, New York, and New Jersey already vote Republican anyway. Over time the majority will probably vote Republican, just as other Catholic immigrant groups do. More important is that their shear numbers will drag the DNC far, far to the right. It's like importing Southern Democrats from the 50's, and you can bet that Jose working three jobs is not going to look favorably at people who've been on welfare for two generations.
I’d invite you to prove that every one of your ancestors came here legally. You can’t. People lied on application forms, were claimed by “relatives” who were actually middlemen, carried forged documents from their country of origin, snuck in from Canada, lied and said they had jobs waiting for them that didn’t exist, gave false addresses, stowed away on merchant ships, etc. Just because it’s easier to track people in the 21st century than it was in the 20th, 19th, or 18th doesn’t mean it’s any more accurate a representation of what occurred. Also, let’s see you argue that the laws haven’t changed and costs haven’t become prohibitive since Ellis Island was closed. Go on. Knock yourself out. So you no longer believe in "American exceptionalism," or is that just on this particular topic?
Ah yes, the old election fraud BS. Thoroughly debunked, and so frequently, that there is no need to even consider your argument.
I asked for names, dumbass, not anonymous polling data that may have nothing to do with actual policy initiatives. You and he can't do it, because there is no serious national level politician pushing for this idea.
I agree with most of what you say, but you are incorrect to say that he provided what I asked for. At best, he provided half, and that's being charitable.
IIRC, there is not a legal system in the modern world that punishes people for the crimes of their ancestors.
They don't have to in order to make it a reality gul. Are you seriously going to suggest that major Democratic politicians do not see political advantage in millions of immigrants from Mexico becoming voters?
Just because you can prove your parents came here legally on the Mayflower is no reason to doubt everybody else.
See, now I actually agree with you on this. People should have to make a commitment to the land they live in before getting the full package of privileges. So focus on the core message, don't muddy the waters by claiming that unnamed people are working to get voting rights for illegal immigrants or resident aliens.
Of course they see political advantage. Thinking people support politicians who don't belittle and disparage guests in our country. Democratic politicians are going for the thinking voter, whereas Republicans are going for the fearful voter.
And their votes count the same. You have an interesting definition of "guests" gul. By my way of thinking "guests" are someone who I invite in. Not people who snuck in through a hole in the backyard fence.
Because the immigrants coming over the border have cultural values that are a rough match to 1950's America, and most of them are somewhat racist because race and heritage were used as class dividers where they're from. They still use the term "negro" (as if it was the Spanish word for black). As they gain political power and influence, the Democrat party will be put under a lot of pressure to shift culturally rightward. The subject was examined in closer comparisons of Muslim immigrants to Europe with Latin American immigrants to the US. US immigration was used as an example by many European proponents of greater Muslim immigration, but as it turns out Latin Americans are culturally similar to the Americans who'd already been here (holding views and attitudes that were typical here in the 1950's), whereas Muslim culture has very little if anything in common with European culture, and they don't assimilate very well in large groups.
