    I'm in France.

The French are not beer people. You struggle to find a local beer. What they do sell is very expensive, and it's generally very strong for some reason.

So, yeah. I just thought I'd share that.

The words "French" and "beer" should never appear in the same sentence.

Unless the sentence is, "This French beer is shit."

I suppose that's why beer in France would be strong and expensive as fuck -- it'll be terrible, but you'll get shitfaced quick so the price is worth it?

    I guess it's about context.

Like, I'd sooner knock back a couple of Boreale than anything Molson has their name on.

the french all drink Belgian beer. They are consumed with wine making.

they may not be big on micro breweries but their mass produced beer is respectable.

I do have fond memories being inside the Queens Legs in Valbonne, but I don't think they make their own brew.

They're not pushing the IPA bullshit, are they? Likely Heineken as that swill is everywhere over there.

The best French beer I had was from Belgium.

The best French cuisine I had was stolen from Italy.

But the best French wine I had was from California.

    (PS I love France)
