I think the gut reaction here is... what the fuck?! But, thinking about it, was he at ground zero? I mean, he was the mayor of NYC at the time. How much time did he actually spend at ground zero? I truly don't know. If he was at the site with the rest of the workers and now he's developed lung issues, then he might be justified in his claim. I'm not going to be the guy to say, "Oh, you were at ground zero but you can't prove your issues are directly related to that. So... claim denied." That's some shit a fucking bullshit insurance company would do.
As long as he fills out the paper work properly and the proper authorities sign off on it after due consideration....
I'm conflicted. One one hand, I'd love for him to have to experience what so many of us experience every day just trying to stay healthy, but on the other hand, well, I don't really have anything. I just want people to see "free" healthcare as something viable here in the US, so I want it to go well.
