Ah. I've seen that nym but don't know that I've exchanged poasts with him. It doesn't seem like he's around much, at least not in the subs where I spend my time.
He changes his name every few weeks. Just changed it to Courier 6 for the 2nd time. He posts regularly there, mostly in the ShoutBox or Politics.
Yay! A trophy! Waitwhut... "Probably a Dual"?!? Thbbft. The universe barely knows what to do with just one of me. Uh. Thanks anyway, I guess.* *yes I realize it's probably just an automatic postcount-based award but where's the fun in assuming that?
well, maybe not like a velociraptor... But coming up with a character who appears to be on the other side of the socio-political fence and having a beef with Jenee of a misunderstanding so small it could be the plot device of a Friends episode would help establish that... I'm also one shift away from vacation time, pregaming with an indica called "romulan grapefruit".
Even if I started poasting "rawr" a lot and clicking my claws/toenails on the floor whenever I pause while stalking my next meal? I don't think I can actually grow a tail but I might be able to rig something up with rope and cloth-hangers... Don't ask me to literally bite anyone though. I'm a pacifist at heart. I'd like to state unequivocally for the record that I am not anyone's dual, nor do I have duals of my own. That kind of stuff just isn't my jam. If Virginia ever fully legalizes marijuana I'll probably take it up again, at least occasionally, but I haven't toked in years. The potency of today's crops kinda scares me a little, I won't lie. LoL
Not necessarily. I wasn't born here, I've only spent the most time here and decided to return after visiting some other places. I'm not a hardcore rebel flag beer swilling rusty pickup and bible thumpin' southerner... ...I'm the "Appalachian mountains are nice; I could live here" kind.
ok, just spit it out. you've got tuckerfan from KY or TN (can never remember which, apologies) and I'm from WV. not all southerners are like FF, so where are you from? ETA: shootER is in TX
Born in Plattsburgh, New York. Father was in the USAF so moved around a bit. Some of my earliest memories are of Japan. Also lived in Wyoming, Pennsylvania, etc. Dad's family was in southwest Virginia so that's where we ended up settling down when I was in... sixth grade? Been in and around the area since; most of my own USAF enlistment was even spent at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA. Just as being born on the cusp (1964) between two generations left me feeling not really part of either the Boomers or GenX I also don't have any cultural/ideological ties to the birthplace I never actually knew nor the region I've ultimately picked, at least for now. My fondness for this part of the country has more to do with geography than anything else.
same. it's weird isn't it? hating boomers for the 60s, yet still wanting so badly to be part of it. I still remember agreeing with my father about the teenagers being irresponsible, yet counting the minutes until I could sneak back into the basement with my sister's friends and that 'devil' music. My dad was an over the road trucker, so I moved around a lot in my childhood too. I think the place we eventually call 'home' is the place where we spend our adolescence - essentially, where we became who we are.
