Depending on how Peter's sponging works, he can do more than Sylar.

We've already now seen him regenerate, fly, turn invisible, predict the future and use telekinesis.

If he gets permanent, at-will access to any power he's personally witnessed/experienced, he also has Matt's telepathy and Hiro's timeshifting.

If it's a step further and he has access to all the powers of the people he's been around, then he also has Sylar's hidden powers (as of the time when they fought), the Haitian's memory draining/brainwashing ability, Eden's power of persuasion, among others that I might be forgetting.

I think for storytelling purposes, they are going to have to limit how easily he can tap into these abilities. If Hiro by himself essentially had to be de-powered, how can someone with the abilities of Hiro + a bunch of others not have to be depowered?

If you do watch any more of the early episodes, just fast forward through the Mohinder parts. I'll save you some time:

Something that could have been wrapped up in 4 episodes, but that they dragged out for like 10.

Also, the Nikki/Micah/D.L. storyline is being dragged out forever.

    Unlike Lost, my ass. :diacanu:

Did you even see the last episode, Timmy?

I agree they've been heading that way, but last episode was a whole mess of "wtf!" and "OMG" and :j: goodness...

Yeah, and things have been moving a lot more rapidly. Doesn't excuse the 10-episode train wreck with Nikki and Mohinder's storylines.

I just wish Nikki and her family would die already.

I don't mind DL so much.

    Micah is annoying.

And I think Nikki should go back to stripping on the web. :)

Actually, D.L. is one of the coolest characters on the show, and one of the better actors. I wish a giant meteor would just hit the house while Nikki and Micah are in it, D.L. teams up with Matt, Nuclear Man, and Wireless, and they have fun kicking ass.

Just when I thought the series was starting to slow down they come back and hit it out of the park. Words cannot express how truly awesome Heroes is.

    And the best part:

I wasn't expecting these huge revelations. Absolutely amazing. The last 15 minutes is just a powerhouse. And perhaps now we have our first sighting of Linderman in the flesh?

Well, I say the first four episodes or so and felt pretty much the same way about it after that. I thought it was completely forgetable. Literally. I can't remember anything from what I watched, except that I ended up thinking X-Men ripoff. There's a balance that needs to be struck between standalone story telling and arc, and this seemed all arc, and slow moving arc at that. Without knowing how things turn out, even several episodes were too disjointed to tell a good or at all memorable story. There's perhaps potential there, but, IMO, you definitely have to invest a lot in the show if you want to get anything out of it.

She doesn't seem to. In the first ep she mangled her hand in a garbage disposal and didn't really notice.

I think she does, actually, but not as intensely as we do...probably a dull ache where the rest of us would be screaming.

Note that when her (and now, Peter) are shoving bones and stuff back into place, they certainly seem to feel some pain.

On a slightly different note, I think Nikki/Jessica also has a certain degree of invulnerability. You can't tear people in half or break handcuffs like Jessica does without hurting yourself in the process (torn muscles, broken bones, just from the stress induced by super-strength).

A remarkable episode. Mr. Bennet is one of the true heroes on this show.

Speculation on which actor plays Mr. Linderman:

ABC hyped the "three secrets revealed" thing. Lost's producers have little to no control over the promos.

I still can't for the life of me figure out what the third secret was.

He may be reformed, but he still has to answer for attempted murder of Claude. And probably a lot of other bad shit, unless he's been a rougue for many years. Oh, and unless you're assuming they're going to explain that one away (like, someone from the agency was secretly monitoring so they staged it -and then Claude just did his disappearing act).

He was ordered to do it. If he hadn't done it, he would have been killed too.

A hollow argument, "I was following orders" or "someone else would have done it anyway."

Not the formula for a hero, imo. Maybe not beyond redemption, but he still works for "them." Now they've basically told us he's formed a conspiracy with Matt Parkman, so I'd guess he's on the road to redemption, and that he'll work to support the 'renegade' faction destined to include Petrelli, Claude and Hiro, along with Clair and the Hatian.

So, more of a good guy than a bad guy after this week now that we know his motive for "protecting" Claire was legit (keep her from Hiro's pop), but he's still well short of a hero in my book.

He's no Professor Xavier -I find the whole Heroes storyline to be a fun twist on a "What if?" - what if some bad guys recruited the mutants instead of the benign Prof X?

He did what he was ordered to do. Seven years later, he violated orders by doing the exact same thing he killed the British guy for, realizing perhaps why he had done it. He nearly died twice for protecting Claire. He finally told the truth.

Now, he's risking his life and his career again to save her life and the Haitian's life.

That, in my eyes, is redemption enough.

Bennet clearly walks in a 'Gray' world. My only question is; Who was the Haitian taking orders from? Did he grow a conscience and track down Nathan when he was in New York?

Bennet - based on what we've seen of him - is now a good father. He protects his children like a good parent's supposed to do. Maybe he's a good person too, the jury's still out. While I agree his motivations remain gray, he's not even close to the hero class yet. [more to Timmy's pov than yours, obviously]

I think the Haitian was talking about God (regarding whose authority he relied upon to supercede Bennet's orders).

Exactly: The operative word being "now". What does he change into, back to, when he forgets everything about the ways he has changed his mind since Clair developed powers?
