I've just taken the opportunity to review Mormon beliefs. Seems this guy would go to the Celestial Kingdom, the highest in one of what appear to be a multiplicity of possible afterlives. Of course, as one of the sons of perdition, I'm heading for the "outer darkness". Scary.
There's a waste of time you'll never get back, and will regret it when you're on your death bed waiting to go the outer darkness.
> Nelson and one of his top counselors described their approach to LGBTQ+ members as trying to balance the “love of the Lord and the law of the Lord.” Very good. Now what happens if the highest-priority law of the Lord is to love? Seems like he had some positive effect regardless.
Also, that's not correct. You're not consigned to Outer Darkness, but for the Telestial Kingdom at worst and the Terrestrial Kingdom at best. Me, I run the risk of Outer Darkness because I was of the covenant and walked away.
Joining the church and leaving only puts one "at risk" of being consigned to the Outer Darkness? Is there a way I can definitely get in without doing anything too evil? Like, will blaspheming or premarital sex get me in? I mean, I've sworn fealty to the Void and yearn for its inevitable cold embrace, but given the nature of the void, I don't know if it acknowledges me, and securing a void-like secondary afterlife seems prudent.
Q: What's worse than being part of the antichrist? A: Being an apostate part of the antichrist. I think they're going to have to come up with something special, just for you...
And no internet, and no Wordforge. It's going to be a very looooooong eternity. Especially toward the end...
You mean you're a geezer? I can't fault you for that, though. I'm probably one of the oldest on the board. I can remember when Kennedy was elected. (My parents thought it was pretty much the end of America, to have a Catholic president!)
