As Tamar said in another thread, we hear a lot of Wordforge self-policing its members, but we never see it. So I'm asking all of you, to negrep the hell out of Denny Crane, you know how much it hurts him to get a negrep. Remove the scum from our midst. I'd help you all, but the rules prevent me from such, so just keep your negreps in the Red Room and Gray room, and fire away.
His tiresome "everyone else is low class" bullshit, brutal racism, his "let's exterminate the jews," constantly issuing death threats and wishing death on other members.
So we should all just neg rep him for being himself? he's been known to be that way and act that way....what's different about this time?
Denny Tasvir is just a clown. Nobody takes him seriously. But your effort to rep war by proxy should be taken quite seriously, IMO.
I don't see why. Everyone can troll in the Red Room. Nick can't repwar because he has unlimited rep and it would be unfair. I don't see why urging others to makes much of a difference since everyone has a choice whether to actually do it or not. Besides, Tasvir made another swipe about his brother...asking Nick if his brother has been cured yet. I don't blame Nick for being ticked about that...wouldn't you be if it was your brother someone was using as a weapon. Tasvir also said Actormike and His Kind deserved to be exterminated and soon would be. Maybe that is him being him...but it doesn't say much for what he must be.
Why do mods needs unlimited rep, except for specific situations like when people donated to summers running charity
Mods don't have it, admins do, its built into the system that way. And it makes sense because really, if they wanted to, they could just change the persons rep willy-nilly anyways.
Is that the reason? Because it was implied in that other thread that the reason had to do with impartiality and the appearance of it lacking when a mod or admin engaged in rep war. Nick has handed Tasvir a tool with which to protest any warning by starting this thread.
It amazes me that no one will negrep Tasvir, but people will put Samwise and Kamelreds into the red. You are an odd bunch.
Curse the gallery being down! I wanted to upload "Green Iron Fist", by Full Devil Jacket to go with post 12. Everyone, fire up your fileshare programs, get "Green Iron Fist", and stare at post 12. Do it. It's good.
The following people have unlimited rep. Chris Tamar Lanzman Myself Order2Chaos And possibly Elwood but I'm not sure.
Link to a post for everyone to target their phasers at. We ain't gonna hunt him across the board, we're lazy, and you haven't given ample reason why we shouldn't be.
Surely it would be sensible to limit their rep, allow them to participate in rep wars and hand out excessive amounts of rep via messing about with the script
Yes, the "mods can't rep war" rule was created when all mods had unlimited rep to give. Now only Admins do because as Nick said, the system is set that way and Admins can just alter rep if they wanted to anyway. When Mods started being bound to the same rep levels as everyone else, some of us felt they should be able to rep war like everyone else and others felt they should set a higher standard. So far it has just stayed the way it was since no concensus has really been reached. So I guess it depends on your mindset how you would view this thread. I am a "Staff is just posters with extra duties" kind of person, so I just see this as a way Nick can protest Tasvir's assholism without using his powers unjustly. If you are a "Staff are an example to the community" sort, I can see why it would bother you.
Ah, it's that time again? I guess it comes in kinda handy that all the skiing ressorts 'round here open Saturday. Too bad I'll miss this multi-page shitstorm.
I have unlimited rep now? I . . . . . . still don't care. Can you guys explain to me (with small words, cuz I'm slow) just why you all get so wrapped up in this silly little rep widget? Y'all know it doesn't really mean anything, right?
Really, once you have demonstrated enough competence to become an Administrator you should have the ability to easily control yourself when it comes to rep. I know I have no problem at all not getting involved in rep wars. But I do like being able to Pos-Rep whenever and wherever I like. It is pretty much the only "perk" the job has.
