Just finished playing the storyline on GTA-V. I have almost all of the GTA games in the series, starting back with the original one on the PS-1, and have added pretty much every one since they came out.

This makes only the second time I've actually finished a GTA storyline, the first one was GTA-Miami Vice.

I actually enjoyed the storyline in this one, it was actually a well put together and cohesive story. A huge improvement in making the game playable was the change to the physics for the autos in the game. GTA-IV was like trying to drive a car on a greasy trampoline.

I am a little sad though, that I did finish the game because it was like watching a TV series and each mission was a new episode. Now that the game is over, it's like watching reruns. You can go back and play the missions over and try to get gold on each one. And there are still several side missions that I have finished, so there's that.

Anyone else play GTA-V and finish it, or even if you haven't what's your take on it.

And. oh yeah. The credits are really, really long.

I've been playing the story off and on on the PC version. Definitely a fun game and a good story.

I did. I finished it right before Fallout 4 came out. I enjoyed it, like I have all GTA games. It's also the first one I've finished, though I got to the last mission of GTA IV and got super frustrated. I thought it was well presented, but worse in terms of story than other games. I really hated Trevor, and hated being forced to do missions with him. The torture scene made me turn off the game after playing it with my eyes closed. Every scene with him made him seem awful, which is the point, but I don't want to play as him. The other characters are flawed, but have redeeming qualities. Trevor didn't have anything and was a dick the whole time, needlessly killing people, etc.

I loved Trevor, he was great in the game. I enjoyed his storyline and as a character. The torture scene didn't bother me at all, it was part of the game. The one character that I played as little as possible was Franklin. I found him rather dull, and somewhat stereotypical. Michael was my favorite character overall, he was a bit psycho but still very likable. Some of what went into creating the characters personality was how people play the game in three different ways. Michael was created and portrayed as someone who has played the games before and is familiar with hot to set up crimes, finish missions, and generally is a veteran of the GTA games. Franklin was set up as someone who's new to the game(s) and goes through doing everything that is needed, completing the missions with caution and planning, someone who is new to the GTA games. Trevor was portrayed and created as someone who just has fun with the GTA world, you can do whatever you want. Shoot a bunch of people, run people over, basically create carnage and proceed through the storyline with killing and destroying as much as possible.

Also, the one scene where Trevor trips over the fence and Franklin starts laughing at him, was not scripted. The actor (Steven Ogg) who played Trevor actually tripped over the fence and their dialogue was improvised as they stayed in character. The producers/creators thought it worked out well and kept it in the game. The motion capture was so well done, that during the scene you can see that both Trevor and Franklin are smiling during their dialogue where Trevor is mad at Franklin for laughing.

the only GTA game I haven't beaten was 4, I rented it and just never got around to purchasing it. San Andreas is still my favorite, it's scope is the largest and holy crap the number and level of fun in the missions. That said Trevor has to be the best fictional character ever. He's just so over the top while still having a decent amount of depth. The postgame mission with his mom was just...crushing.
