I imagine compsognathus would've tasted like poultry.

Not sure if this OP belongs in the Green Room or here due to its paleontological nature.

But anyway, you suddenly find yourself back in the Jurassic Period on one of the islands which is now part of Europe. You're starving & you notice the VERY turkey like & turkey sized compsognathus , which appear to be in large numbers on the island, along with flocks of archaeopteryx.

Your hunger is extreme so you kill one of the compsognathus & cook it & eat it along with some freshly picked Jurassic vegetables. My gut (pun fully intended) is telling me that compsognathus would more than likely taste EXACTLY like poultry.

    Would it?

What's YOUR take on this topic?

I've had ostrich, and it tastes like beef with sugar sprinkled on.

Compy = chicken, Utah raptor, = ostrich.

Yeah compys most likely would taste like chicken. But you never know, supposed you went back in time to the Jurassic Period & killed & cooked a compy only to find its meat tasted like beef or pork instead of chicken? That'd be a bit shocking. More than likely compys would've tasted like chicken &/or turkey.
