So, about 20 years ago, Follywood managed to get a number of countries to legislate "release window timeframes." You know, the amount of time that passes from when a film is released in the theater to when it shows up on streaming services or DVDs. In some cases, it can be over a year before a film that's released in the theater can be streamed via a service like Netflix or Disney+ in a particular country. Follywood has just figured out that this encourages piracy. Sucks to be them.
Hell no I'm not subscribing to that just for Walking Dead. Even if it DIDN'T eventually end up on Netflix anyway.
any other Canuckforgers know wtf is up with this "CTV: sci-fi" subscription? Up until this past week Prodigy was regular access either at air time or via Crave. Now it's suddenly locked behind this micro-subscription... not that it matters much, as there are plenty of alternate places to watch.
HBO Max is no longer streaming Looney Tunes or the Flintstones for some reason. https://www.theverge.com/2023/1/4/2...s-flintstones-warner-bros-discovery-streaming
A Paramount Rebrand Is in the Works Merging Showtime and Paramount+ Interestingly, while they're talking about axing some shows, no Trek shows are on the list to get axed. Yet.
I haven't seen it but I know it's gotten very good reviews. Your Honor is pretty good. I missed the first season but I'm getting caught up before getting into season 2, which just started. I'm still pissed that they canceled American Rust. That was a good series.
Trek is a notable tentpole as to why people subscribed and they know that. They saw the biggest jump in subs the week before Picard premiered, me includes.
Netflix cuts prices for subscribers in more than 30 countries If you're reading this, you're not in one of the countries.
I thought Amazon bought that studio? Why not put it on fucking Prime? NM: read Shooter's comment but still just condense.
Is that why I couldn't find any fucking James Bond movies to stream back in December when I wanted to celebrate the 007 Days of Christmas? Literally a hate crime.
