I seem to remember a free standing Star Wars game that used to be in arcades in the mid to late 1980s.

It featured three distinct sections. Unique to each of the first three movies.

In the first section you flew a fighter attacking the Death Star.

In the second you flew a landspeeder on Hoth engaging Imperial Walkers and Troops.

In the third you were riding a speeder bike through the woods of that forest moon in Return of the Jedi where the big shield generator as located. Engaging Stormtroopers and other Speeder Bikes as you went.

I was wondering if that game or its equivalent is available as a free online game anywhere.

I have googled it but I might be using the wrong name or something.

I remember playing that game back in the eighties. One of the very first arcade machines I ever played.

    This one....

    ...right?

I don't know if it would be available online anywhere. Probably not, for copyright reasons.

But if you really want to play it you could always get an arcade emulator (such as MAME) and use it to run a rom of the game.

If you've never played with an emulator before it would probably be a bit complicated however.

Yeah. There was a star trek game with a seat and a fight stick sorta thing. That game is great. I don't think it came out in the 90's though. Is the one you're thinking of the one with lightsaber battles?

Edit: This is the one I'm thinking of http://www.giantbomb.com/star-wars-trilogy-arcade/3030-21751/

^Thanks Ed but I'm looking for something a little later. The graphics were somewhat more sophisticated.

There were only two Star Wars arcade games in the 1980's. The screen shots are from the arcade version that had episodes IV, V, and VI.

There was a Sega Version that had the title "Star Wars Arcade" released in 1993, it was for the Sega system of the time.

There was also an arcade version of this game at the same time. There were very few made.
