Some possible good news: Poll shows Eisenkot with significant lead over Netanyahu as preferred PM; Knesset blocs static A new television poll aired Monday showed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu trailing his foremost challenger, former IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot, by a significant margin, with 43% of Israeli voters saying they prefer Eisenkot as prime minister versus 34% for the sitting premier. Israel does not, however, hold a direct vote for prime minister, and the Channel 12 news survey ahead of the October 27 Knesset election showed the pro- and anti-Netanyahu blocs in about the same position they have been in for months. The anti-Netanyahu bloc would win 59 seats in the 120-seat Knesset, short of a 61-seat majority, while the pro-Netanyahu bloc would win 51. Arab parties, which have largely not joined Israel’s coalition governments, would win the remaining 10 seats. Still, Eisenkot’s lead over Netanyahu in the poll asking who is better suited to lead the country pointed to the prime minister’s declining popularity while also signaling that Eisenkot was cementing his position as the leader of the anti-Netanyahu camp, with several other recent surveys showing his party would receive the most votes if elections were held today. https://www.timesofisrael.com/poll-...d-over-netanyahu-for-pm-knesset-blocs-static/ Hungary got rid of their autocratic right-wing criminal; will Israel be next?
i am curious what real world move would at least not garner you condemnatioun. is there any individual or act that would however minimally you would give your approval to????? i am not talking about a dream or wish like the war stops (that in my mind would be a wonderful thing stop the killing) but at least one person or idea that you could get behind and support. i am not trying to be snarky and i apologoze if i come off that way. i am just curious
It is curious that you ask for "one person or idea that you could get behind" yet also exclude a "dream or wish" so that you can pre-emptively exclude any person or idea who isn't terrible. That aside, if we're talking about Israeli's, I admire groups such as Breaking the Silence, B'Tselem, Mesarvot, Standing Together as well as people like Ofer Cassif, Ilan Pappé and many others. Those don't garner my "condemnatioun".
i asked for only one because i could not recall you having voiced support for anyone (i know i am wrong but you get wrong ideas in your head and they are hard to get rid of) so i thought that would be easier. the 'dream or wish' elimination i felt would keep unfortunantley unattainable goals and feel more 'real world'. took a quick look the goals of the organizations they are lauadable and look good and necessary and some sort of civilized rapport has to start somewhere somehow but i have to admit to a very pessimistic view there is so much hate to overcome. of the individuals Mr. Cassif and i would be fartherest apart but probably we would be in agreement on several points. thank you for your response.
It's the American way, which should more accurately be called the Israeli way as soon as the Republicans can force though the bill integrating both militaries. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026...-defence-bill-over-iran-war-israel-provisions If you think that's weird or questionable that means you're Hamas.
I heard somewhere that Israel has the gross domestic product of a small American TOWN. Not a state, not a big city, a TOWN! It's like we've handed the Infinity Gauntlet to fucking Gorham Maine. WTF are we fucking doing?
Not sure where they got that from, because it's not true. If Israel were a U.S. state, its GDP would place it in roughly the top quarter of states. There are a handful of major metropolitan areas that its GDP is smaller than — such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Dallas/Fort Worth — but the statement that it's equivalent to a small American town is not even remotely accurate.
Huh ... so the shitty person in charge of the Being Shitty to Other People Party is afraid he's losing them?
Ah ... it seems his main fear is that a primary process will result in the nomination of candidates who are even more open about their shittiness, thus damaging the party's chances: Netanyahu wants to place his own candidates on the list in case the primary results, if held, lead to Knesset members reaching high positions who, in his view, "drive voters away." Netanyahu is seeking to push several controversial figures lower on the list, including lawmakers Tally Gotliv, David Amsalem and May Golan, whom he believes could alienate "swing voters" and discourage them from voting for Likud.
Terrible news for Palestine: Washed Up Rock Star and Noted Consent Enthusiast Boy George has sided with Israel and released a shitty song about it https://www.theguardian.com/music/2...-releases-pro-israel-song-we-will-dance-again
‘You say genocide, I say war’: Boy George releases pro-Israel song, We Will Dance Again I'm guessing that there's something worse than what he did to a sex worker that's about to come out.
