She starts insisting that McCarthy (or whoever ends up as Speaker) give her whatever juicy committee assignments she wants, by going full Karen and threatening that the base will be angry if she doesn't get whatever she demands.

Fairly unlikely that McCarthy has the backbone to stand up to her. And anyone who successfully challenges him for the leadership is likely to be even worse.

the problem with MTG is that unlike most Republicans, who cynically spout bullshit about socialism and communism as dishonest propaganda because they know a lot of the rubes react to it - she, apparently, actually believes it and now the rubes have an avatar in Congress with actual influence.
