This thread: http://www.wordforge.net/index.php?...ng-further-divides-between-sunni-shia.105145/ is getting some attention. Almost 1100 views in just a few hours, not the usual 15-20. I guess he found something that resonates with a lot of search terms. If only we could figure out how to get all of are titles to be so successful! Also, credit to the OP, he pointed it out to me.
That's weird... it's not showing up that way on the Google Analytics report. And this thread is showing up, so it can't be a time lag thing.
At the moment, the analytics say that thread has been viewed 10 times. But it definitely says 1,094 on the Red Room index. Very odd.
How does this thread show up at all? Should Google be able to see hidden pages? I mean, I'm sure the NSA can, but google?
I don't know about XenForo software, but i know that vB used to be bad about accurately reporting thread views. Its possible he's set up some kind of bot to click on the thread, and Google's smart enough to figure it out, while the XenForo software isn't.
Maybe the traffic to the thread is mostly from Tapatalk, and Xenforo registers the views but they don't show up as Web traffic?
