    From here

    :jayzus:

Oakland's really giving Richmond a run for its money in the shittiest East Bay city championship.

Put bullets in a few of them, and that shit will end real quick.

A synchronized attack involving 40-60 individuals is, by definition, organized crime. Time for the feds to step in.

I always thought BART was a really cool name for a train.

One of my earliest memories is being at the opening of the Fremont BART station with my mother.

Here's President Nixon trying out the train when it first opened...

I ride it on business frequently. Take the Capitol Corridor to Richmond. Usually works quite well. Beats driving.

DART would be a better name for a bullet train, not a city commuter conveyance.

I live (part of the time) in the East Bay, and I've used BART many, many time. It's the most convenient way to go to San Francisco. The only downside is that it shuts down operations pretty early.

When @RickDeckard was here in San Francisco for a visit, I BARTed over and met up with him, but had to rush to catch the last train out when it got near midnight.

Doesn't Dallas have a train system named "DART"?

East Oakland, eh? No, I think I will skip that observation.

On a different note I used go out to Dublin once every three months for about three years straight for a quarterly ground water testing. I'd fly into OAK because Southwest had cheap faires SAN to OAK then take a bus over to coliseum so I have some experience in that area. I can't say I am surprised.

    Dozens?

40-60 would have been the perfect chance to use scores. :jayzus:

    It's crazy.

They should just release the video. Screw this juvenile crap. .

    Couple news videos on it:

    Code:
    https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=746_1493088708
Second video is saying this isn't the first time this has happened. BART has known for a year they've had problems with groups of teenagers attacking passengers.

Well, if it is teenagers their arch enemy bill O'Reilly is free to teach them a lesson by getting all rapey with any women on the train. Evidently that is how you show those kids what for. I am sure nothing could go wrong with sending bill to confront them with his war covering pen. He could stay home and write a book about how he saved BART.

    And before you start crying......

Take that statement and make this change to it.

I can't even tell if he's being serious or not. I figured the Ghostbusters reference was obvious.

I know where the reference comes from. Thank you.

I stand by what I say. That line you wrote in context of this thread makes you just a wee bit racist.

no, this is a wee bit racist! Hey, don't shoot the messenger - Heston's views don't represent the views of this station or it's affiliates!

If John had said, "You people were warned long ago. Get your hands off me you damn dirty apes!" than yes you're right it would be racist. :bailey:

Of course, I caught the reference (and LOL'd) but--though you certainly didn't intend it this way--immediately recognized that someone could read a racist subtext into it.

If you take concept A and give it some metaphorical connection to B, and C can have some metaphorical connection to B, some people will interpret that you meant A=C, even if A and C are very disparate concepts.

Agreed. Which was why I followed up with replacing John with Dinner. Everyone would have immediately made the connection I did and ripped Dinner Had he been the one to write that line.

Given the overall context of this thread what was said could easily be read the way I read it. It's only because I know John is a emo-MLP that I know he doesn't mean it.

But like a typical Wordforger it is my duty to make unnecessary trouble. :pirate:
