Cultural appropriation from Samurai Jack?

The absolute best thing you can say about anyone seriously using the cultural appropriation argument is that they are absolute drooling idiots who should be completely ignored other than to make fun of them for being drooling idiots.

Some crazy chick over in TNZ was going off about how white girls getting dream catcher tattoos is an evil form of cultural appropriation and keeps Native Americans poor.

The shit is just getting way out of hand.

I have come to the conclusion that John is incapable of learning to see things from other points of view. It is some sort of psychological defense system he has created for himself when the cognitive dissonance becomes to great.

For all of my short comings I do at least attempt to understand other people's arguments and why they are making them from their perspective. Now, that doesn't mean I agree with them, frequently I do not, and if I think their argument is lacking in merit I am happy to tell them so in a manner which mercilessly makes fun of them but at least I took the time to understand their argument first. John doesn't seem to do that or get beyond simply neg repping.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present irony so strong, it has blocked out the Sun.

Also, I like that his whole point is essentially "I may be a bigot, but at least I listen!"

    Quit lying, gturner.

You are, and have always been, one of the least tolerant little shits in the entire history of the board. You just swing from one side of the pendulum to the other.

I just read an article from some whiner that people wanting to live in "tiny" houses are culturally appropriating poor people and their struggles.

I had a good laugh over that one.

Jesus Christ, can you read? I made absolutely no claims about tolerance. I said I read their arguments and make sure I understand them. Something several people here have difficulty with or don't even attempt to do.

Bragging about being open-minded and looking at the other side implies some level of tolerance to do so.

Not that either is true of yourself.

People wanting to live in tiny houses are trying to avoid becoming poor people. That's the whole root of that movement.

I've seen some of those tiny houses, and I have to say if you can live in one of those, more power to you. I would get claustrophobia really fast. Then again, I've lived in a tent, in a car, and under the open sky, and while I love the open sky, there's far less chance of rain/hail/bird poo when you have a place indoors to live.

Again, I said nothing about being open minded, I said I attempt to understand what people are saying and why (I.E. what motivates them) and then specifically said I am intolerant of stupid or unsupported claims/positions. Did you even read what I wrote? It doesn't look like it and that jives with your numerous automatic neg reps when you clearly don't even understand what a person's position was. Don't feel bad, you are not alone as many here do it, they fail to understand what the person said, assume they said something else, and then argue against the straw man which exists only in their mind.

It is depressingly common here. John, and others, do it constantly. It is one of the many, many things which made him a piss poor choice for mod. Fortunately, that problem has now been rectified, at least partially, but not before he smeared shit on everything he touched.

Where exactly have I claimed superior ability or expert status? This is you projecting again with you handful of junior college credits, acting like an expert, and throwing around buzzword phrases. Typical projection.

Seriously, dude, buy yourself a mirror and stare at it for a while.

See folks, once he found out I had some college experience in the other thread that was necroed, he had to start adding it to his base level of insults, as if what I learned in a college course of which he knows nothing is influencing my actions here. It's all he has. He has his hate, his myopia, and his inability to grasp the fact that he continues to slide further downward in morality, in ethics, in intellect, and in reason. One day, he'll be all alone in his hate, no one willing to do anything but mock him, and he'll believe that the only thing that changed for the worse was everyone else.

I'm serious on this, it's very sad to watch. I can only laugh so many times at an idiot vainly attempting to grasp at a concept just above his head, before it turns into genuine pity. Dinner is a prime example of Dunning-Kruger, slightly modified for bigots. He has not yet grasped that he is the object of people's laughter and scorn, and not a fellow participant in on the joke.

I'll say it as I've said it before, get psychiatric help.

John, if you are going to throw around baseless accusations that other people lack ability or accomplishments then expect turn around where other people examine your own abilities and accomplishments. Turn around is fair play and people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

It would also help if you tried not to be a pretend internet doctor when you clearly do not have the experience, skills, training, or probably even aptitude. Stop being a bitchy little drama queen and see if people don't reciprocate.

It would also help if you considered making amends for past misdeeds like banning a poster who never broke a rule simply because you disliked what he said and wanted to silence him. That was a really shitty move from a really shitty person.

OK, so you have nothing but still more projection. Stop trying to critique other people's skills and accomplishments if you are so unwilling to undergo the same scrutiny yourself, want to be internet doctor boy.

Look, I'm going to ignore you now, because you have become obsessed with me, and that makes me uncomfortable. I want you to be better, I want you to be healthy in mind, and I'd rather you seek out help for this fixation you have, and maybe they can also help you with your descent into xenophobia and hatred. From one real person to another, please seek help.

    Sincerely,
    John
