Looks like fat ass asshole Peter David blew all of his New Frontier and Hulk residuals and is now freaking out because the tax man's at the door.

Maybe if you hadn't been a liberal high taxing loving butthole you wouldn't owe so much. So get your fucking grubby Cheeto fingers outta my wallet

Dayton Ward posted this on FB. Long story short, his ex-wife skipped town with half his money back on the day that was supposed to go to the IRS and now he's gotta pay that back.

Just so we're all clear. He owes taxes on monies earned from a 20 year old Canadian series that was on for 27 episodes and ended in 1997. Obviously he hasn't had enough time to get his shit back together.

Reading his post you see this:

"Then they (the IRS) seemed to just forget about it. Which was great."

They never forget. They just take their time getting to you.

He is the one who wanted to forget. Now it's biting him in the ass.

First off this has nothing to do with being liberal. Second are you trying to claim he felt up our cheeto president? I am not sure why you are now against cheeto, but your glorious leader might just kill you for your traitorous attitudes.

    Unless they owe you money.

Got a letter from them in '86 stating I'd made an overpayment of $600.00 in '82. All I had to do was sign the enclosure and they'd send me a refund (no mention of interest, of course).

I signed. I'm still waiting. :waiting:

That was my first response as well. Seems he is an award winning comic book writer of the Incredible Hulk and has written for Trek as well. Not sure what about his background rates any scorn.

the military is great about that - they owe you, tough shit. I know some air traffic controllers who waited over 18 months to get the "certification" pay which was I think was a couple of hundred extra a month around the year 2000 or so.

His run on X-Factor in the 90s was a lighthearted diversion at a time when the X universe was getting way too serious.

I owe $7000 in taxes this year. Should I start a gofundme page? Or do I have to not pay it for 20 years to deserve public support?

Perhaps you should have read the rest of the instructions.

    #1 Sign the enclosure

#2 Mail back to the IRS

It helps to read past the first line.

Vendetta is still the best Star Trek book he's ever written, followed closely by A Rock and a Hard Place.

I'd pick Q-Squared first, because Vendetta wears thin on re-reads. Haven't read A Rock and a Hard Place though.

Early TNG Riker in a The Thing style setting, on an icy planet. It's definitely worth the read. Oh, and sure, Q-Squared is great, but Vendetta just packs a great punch. To me, Peter David did the Borg right.

I like Vendetta too, but I stopped buying his books a long time ago. I guess the best description would be that while I liked his stories, I don't like the way he writes. Oh well.

In my opinion Peter David shares the same trait as lots of Star Trek writers.

he (and their) writing gets worse the longer they stick with a group of characters.

the only exception I see to this rule is the Vanguard series. which was virtually as good at the end as at the beginning.

But New Frontier? Corps of Engineers? Deep Space Nine reboot? In my opinion all declined the longer they went on.

How pathetic can this guy get? And how stupid are the morons who would actually pay him? Probably some of you cretins threw in.

***Oh, I was right. One of the head cretins tossed in 1/2 a pig.***
