Because even if it were out publically, markb and co. wouldn't care. Fuck markb was in on it, and when he spoke to me on the phone, we talked about how emotionally unstable Borgs was. Yet now he's painting Borgs in an entirely different light.

Don't mind him, he's an idiot.

I have never said if it is right or wrong. I have posted my beating a dead Borgs smilie and I pointed out the "law" Markb tried to use was non-exsistant.

I know very little about the technical part of the whole affair. I know precisely Jack and Shit about that kind of thing. All I know for sure is that a board called HavenBBS exsisted, it was there in case we had to move quickly.

I don't know/can't remember if Borgs even knew about it until afterwards. He knew we would walk, but I'm not sure if he knew where we would be walking to. It's been two years and a thousand dramas since then. I simply don't remember every detail anymore.

(Fact that is REALLY inconvenient to trolls deleted pending discussion with Elwood...)

Let's look at it another way, how much damage could a Wordforge member do? I'm talking worst case scenario.

IRL? Not much unless they go a LONG way. In the virtual world? A lot. Just create enough drama and you can get this place down when people leave in disgust. When in doubt, add a dash of software piracy and there you go.

Causing people to leave in disgust is the worst case scenario?

    I'm not worried.

I, for one, enjoy the place with people rather than without. It's not acceptable that two or three idiots destroy the board.

Btw, my 'not much IRL' goes for nicknames. Now if Elwood's name was all over the place and a nice smear campaign in progress, it would be on Google for every future employer to see. One of the reasons why privacy is important here.

Two or three? Okay, the only thing two or three idiots have destroyed is the Death Star and Star Trek.

    ;)

I agree. We should all be allowed our privacy.

How much damage can they do with these assertions of database theft? To the board? Little if any. To Elwood, again, little if any. To themselves....

I think we should just ignore them.

Let them repeat themselves over and over until the community takes care of it. People are already sick of it and they are convincing no one but those who already agree with them.

We know the truth about what happened. Let them say what they want. It is transparent they are trying to screw up this board and overall, no one is playing.

For the love of God, don't comment at TK. That means you Nick...every time you post over there you give them creedence and it will never end as long as they know we are paying them attention. I don't care if they ask you what soap you use. Those "innocent" threads are there just to make sure you're still in the game. You too, Bear. Don't answer their questions, don't comment on their lies, just don't participate. That is the fastest way to make it go away, because it will bore the sharks looking for blood.

Hey, I'm happy they finally stop whining and try their own luck. Let's see how successful they are. Personally, I put 200 quatloos on 'dead within half a year'.

Oh, and I know where this particular action is coming from. I've said time and again that I'd sell the board if I was ever served with papers threatening legal action. I think we're a very, very long way from that.

Indeed. Every judge would laugh that 'case' out of the courtroom and all over Main Street.

If this isn't all about them wanting power, then why isn't TK good enough? I mean TK seems to fit all their criteria of what they want for freedom.

What I am truly confused about, is why have any rules when the moderators can't enforce them?

From how that reads....poster breaks a rule...mob might crawl all over them or might not...moderator can do nothing but wait for the next typo to come along.

Am I an idiot or does that whole concept of a set-up make no sense?

This definitely hasn't been helped by a few people from here making "sure it was wrong but it was for the greater good" type comments.

I think it's a desperate attempt to find a niche between TK and WF. But the mob rule alone doesn't work, never will. Even TK enforces minimum standards, and the peeps there don't really do actual discussion (at least none that I can see).

Indeed. They want to show that they can do better. But with Volpy having public trouble even setting up the board, I'm waiting to have a good laugh before they come crawling back

What I'm wondering about is how long elvital/Pylades will stay. He's always had trollish tendencies, but I'm waiting for the day when he attempts one of his serious threads over there

Really not interested in Valhalla as a board, but if it does get up and running, should we register just to stop anyone pretending to be one of us? I know people are automatically suspicious of TK names that resemble those of various famous TBBS and WF posters, but they might be less suspicious at a new board...

^^^ That's why I'm registered at TK. Stops anyone else using "Lanzman" as a handle on that sewage heap.

thelurker, Lanz, I intend to register over there just for that very reason. Whether or not I actually post has yet to be determined. Of course, he's got to open it first.
