That would actually be a cool plot element. Captain Marvel has fallen near a black hole and so appears to be almost be frozen in time. Somebody with teleport powers is able to pop in and grab her out. I know...NIGHTCRAWLER!
Scarlet Witch reaches in with a mind-hand and plucks her out. Her powers are all about breaking reality anyway.
Yes, that works. The physicist in me wonders, though, how a person in one relativistic frame can interact with another frame. Time is literally passing at different rates in the two places. Sigh, reason #525 why I can't write a Hollywood blockbuster.
Remember, gravity is a gradient, not a hard border. Like a faster current in a slow river. Given the handwavy nature of the Witch's power, it could work. They could also just go with the "due to her powers, she doesn't age/ages very slowly" thing.
Except if someone could open a door between two relativistic frames, it would be a hard border. If you, say, reached your hand from one frame to another, your hand would experience time progressing at a different rate than the rest of your arm. I mean, the whole thing is physically impossible(?), but, sure, do some magicky bullshit thing and it works just fine. Yeah, immortal. Or nearly so.
Captain Marvel isn't going to be in Infinity War. BUT that doesn't mean she can't/won't be in Avengers 4!! Now I'm thinking her standalone comes out after Infinity War, because it cliffhangs with her being summoned through a porthole by the time stone, and that would be a spoiler otherwise. It's also why they waited 10 years to retroactively stick her movie between Captain America and Iron Man in phase 1. http://www.cbr.com/avengers-infinity-war-no-captain-marvel/
Homecoming just whupped the Marc Webb Spideys domestically. http://www.cbr.com/spider-man-homecoming-passes-amazing-films-box-office/
I thought Domino had white skin? And I don't mean caucasian, I mean white. Like blank drawing paper white.
Well...her vitiligo patch is pretty pale. What, did you want 'em to paint her tar black? Like she's from Cheron?
Yes. She was pale white with a black circle around her eye. Seems they've chosen to invert that paradigm for the screen.
In all honesty, "black with a white dot" is a lot more congruent with the image of a "domino" than "white with a black dot".
True, true. I forget, can these movies use the word "mutant" or is that a legal issue with Fox? I lose track of who's producing what these days.
Fox has mutants. Disney and Sony don't. That's why Disney/ABC are trying so hard to make Inhumans a thing.
Hmm. If the images I turned up with a quick google search are any indication, Domino has not been portrayed consistently across her various comic appearances. Well, except for big guns and big . . . guns.
^He's not quite the over-muscled mass Cable is in the comics, but I think he looks damned, damned good. Edit: that gun is off the hook, too. I see parts of a Thompson SMG, a grenade (or flare) launcher, and the grip/receiver of a KRISS SMG.
A Cable with realistic proportions just feels deeply wrong to me. Cable = convoluted backstory + ridiculous proportions.
