New Warriors (the one with Squirrel Girl) is cast, and now they're saying it's live-action after all. http://www.superherohype.com/news/400393-squirrel-girl-actress-and-more-join-new-warriors-cast
Inhumans second trailer. It looks a LOT better! They've added more effects, and there's some fancier shots.
And btw, how many IPs in the last year have used that "I'm only human" song? There was at least one other TV series plus Mass Effect Andromeda, and I think there might even have been a fourth I'm forgetting right now.
Runaways will co-exist with the Marvel-Netflix-verse. http://www.cbr.com/hulu-runaways-marvel-netflix-mcu/
I hope they vote The Iron Fist off the island. He's the least likable of the crew. What's his cred in the comic?
No one else is reviewing Defenders? Okay, I'll go first. Loved it. Not as much as Daredevil season 2, or Jessica Jones, which I hold to be the twin pillars, but up there. It does the seemingly impossible, and redeems both Iron Fist the character, and Finn Jones the actor. They finally make you like Danny Rand, and have his powers kick ass, and make you go "where was THIS fuckin' Iron Fist in his own fuckin series!??!". Glad I watched it, immediately want the sequel. Not as enthused about Iron Fist season 2 though...ehhh... But, I think the very next ones are Jessica Jones 2, and Punisher, so those will be good palette cleansers.
Four episodes in. They seem to have brought the franchise down to the level of Fist instead of up to Daredevil or Jessica. yawn.
finished it yesterday, overall satisfying without being remarkable. If you want a hard driving compelling plot, this isn't that- this is about the character interaction and I found it perfectly satisfying.
Finished it yesterday. They really could not have done more to make a group of semi-superheros seem more lame. It was awkward. Empathy for the characters gained in their individual series (except for iron-clad) was lost. I was a bit concerned for the police supervisor lady. Her double-Ds looked like they would get in the way of police work. And why didn't Claire grab her arm when she should have?
Personally, it's because Iron Fist had so much potential that was sabotaged by the lead actor, who was unsympathetic. Had nothing else been changed, a better actor could have made a world of difference. Like him better in Defenders tho, for some reason.
Yeah. And that's a really bad sign. If you can't do the character, why have the character? It's not as if there is a shortage.
