Okay, but Juggernaut gets an asterisk. He buried Juggy in concrete and let someone else deal with it later. It's not like he went toe to toe with him.
Well, I mean all of the Defenders are to some degree superhuman (Matt less so than the others I guess) and they are *by defenition* considered marvel's "street level" heroes. To some extent maybe that definition flows from their villains more than their abilities, but that understanding would surely rule out Spidey
Frist Teaser for Spider Man Noir Oh man I thought this was going to be a cartoon, but it's actually live action with actual Nicolas Cage. That's pretty cool, looks interesting
I dunno, looks quite fun. Too much melanin in the trailer for you? https://www.polygon.com/trailer/598982/marvel-ironheart-disney-plus-tv-show-trailer
If Marvel wanted this to be more popular they should have done a mentorship thing with Downey Jr as Iron Man to set her up. Kind of like they did with him and Spiderman Seems like they missed a good opportunity there
Oh look another truck flip, but I'm sure @Raoul the Red Shirt will be along to tell me how wrong I am and that they're not ripping off TDK again.
Making jokes that 5th graders would be embarrassed by isn't going to improve people's thoughts about your maturity. And actually, that trailer was pretty good. I wasn't so much a fan of her in Wakanda Forever, but that was in part because the movie had a lot going on, and she didn't really fit IMO. I thought Wakanda Forever still was a great film, but she did not fit the vibe. Still, with that trailer and knowing Ryan Coogler is involved with Ironheart, I'm sure that I'm far from alone from looking forward to the series. I don't know why people feel the need to yuck other people's yum. If Ironheart isn't for you, no one is putting a gun to your head to make you watch it. There are a ton of great shows out there that might appeal to you. Watch one of them. I don't think that timing-wise it would have worked, since Riri is relatively young at the point she was introduced and Tony has been dead. I haven't read any of the Ironheart comics, but I think the point is that she independently came up with her armor because of her independent genius. Having her be a mentee of Tony (or Pepper, or Shuri or anyone) would detract from that. I'm pretty sure that The Dark Knight wasn't the first movie to ever have a superhero flip a truck, let alone the only movie in which a truck was flipped. And the mechanism by which this superhero flipped a truck is very different from what Batman did. But if it makes you feel better, sure...total rip off.
I'm looking forward to it more now that I know the Hood is the villain. Best new villain in comics this century, I think. And now, I think I'll watch it just to spite you anyway.
But not quite as petty and pathetic as watching a TV show that you don't enjoy at its base or parroting the misguided complaints of YouTubers about wokeness.
Literally almost word for word what I was going to say. You see, @Steal Your Face, I'd already decided to watch it as soon as I saw the Hood was the villain. And I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy watching it just for that. But I'll get a secondary joy from knowing it rankles you. So I'm gonna make sure to tell you about it, just to really rub it in.
