Cast photo for that other X-Men show. Title may be "Gifted".

First look at Crystal (from Inhumans).

For non-comics peeps, Crystal is a full elemental.
Essentially, she's Human Torch, Ice Man, Storm, and Terra all rolled together.
Or, imagine a female Captain Planet that isn't lame.
    She's really fucking powerful.

About all we can tell from the photo, she's got a variation on the yellow suit, and the hair clips.

    Medusa seen on set.
    Her outfit seems accurate too.

    Medusa.jpg

For non-comics folk, her power is, she has living hair that she can control.
Each strand is as strong as steel wire, and precise as a finger, and the whole mass all together has Hulk strength.
She can crush you, uproot street lamps, lift cars, etc.
In that pic, it looks like a normal human length, but that's because she can suck it in, the whole mane stretched out is this huge writhing hairball that could fill a barn.
    You don't mess with Medusa.

As with Crystal, here's her comics self.

I have no idea how they are going to do the hair, much less on a TV budget.

Yes, of course, but even so, I neither can picture what aesthetic they'd go for, nor how they'd do it affordably. Hair ist still a bitch to animate cheaply, and having it wriggle around constantly will make for extremely strange images.

I really, really, really wanted to say, "Your Kraut is showing, Fritz!" but I don't have enough faith in the strength of our friendship for it to withstand such aggressive fraternal bonding.

Man, the reviews for Iron Fist are not good. :(
I've been tuning it out waiting to judge the show for myself, but even the co-host for Kevin Smith's channel (who's subbing for him this week) hates it.
Usually, both of them suck Marvel & DC's dick, so for that dude to not like it, it's gotta be pretty damned dull.
Although, the critics have only seen the first 6 episodes....but 6 episodes is a long time to be bland.
    Well, we'll see....

Yeah, too much dragging out of the mystery of the identity of the main character, when we know who the main character is, too many boring boardroom scenes, flat acting, mediocre martial arts, and not enough of it.
Look where Daredevil seasons 1-2 were at episode 6, a lot of cool shit had happened.
By episode 6 of DD S2, we'd had the Punisher at the cemetery scene which is one of the greatest scenes in anything ever.
Plus, the hallway fight in DD S1 is legendary, that's a high bar set to then slack off on the kung-fu in a show that's mainly supposed to be about a kung-fu guy.

    Iron Fist?

4 eps in, don't HATE it but it's certainly on a much lower level that the other Defenders so far. For me it's the dialogue that's the weakest bit. Nothing memorable at all.

yeah, I don't get the venom. The biggest problem is that all the other shows have thrived on an iconic villain and some shadowing secret organization doesn't really provide the opening for such a standout performance. It's not great but it's not dreadful.

Torn now. I have so much to watch, I briefly thought good - if it sucks, I'll skip this one and do Marco Polo and Legion on weekends.

Just finished (Iron Fist, that is).
    It's good.
It's a slow burn like Jessica Jones, but it was just fine.
Every criticism I've heard is erased when you see it all the way through.
There's plenty of fights, the bits of Danny proving his identity burn through in the first 2-3 episodes, and the deeper conspiracy stuff kicks in at 5 and onward.
    They were totally wrong.
They're entitled to still not like it, but it pisses me off when they make shit up.

I agree with Nova, least good of the 4, but still worth your time.

I think it's spoiled brat syndrome from "Legion".
"Legion", is incredible, it's better than "Iron Fist", but that doesn't make "Iron Fist", garbage.
