I’ve had TLS on ignore for around a decade and haven’t missed anything. Also he doesn’t regularly derail threads and discussions so most of the time I forget he exists. All that to say I personally don’t see a need to ban him but also don’t care if others do. Paladin on the other hand I would actually argue against. Yes he has sold out to MAGA but he isn’t just trolling. He does respond and attempt to back his position up (after being called out enough) and does provide the best MAGA argument on the board for folks to both see what they are saying and also break down. I do oppose banning Paladin at this time. But I’m always willing to hear someone’s argument.
I would also be opposed to this. We have an ignore function, and unless somebody is posting swastikas or talking about how great it would be to lynch another poster, that tool is all that's needed for anyone here to control their experience.
TLS offers nothing of value and is only here to troll. That said, I'm not in favor of banning him right now. I'm not in favor of banning Paladin either, for the reasons Anc states as well as the fact that Paladin posts well in MC.

Which is why I wanted this discussed to begin with. Banning without dialogue outside of certain circumstances is a bad idea, and there are valid reasons not to ban in this case.

Moving this back to the Shelter because it appears that TLS wants to play fuck fuck games. Kommander reported TLS deadnaming Colortura in MC. I DM’ed TLS and said moving forward deadnaming someone outside the RR would be considered trolling. They responded by misgendering Colortura three times in one sentence (obviously intentional IMO). I wrote back that whether intentional or not deadnaming or misgendering outside the RR would be considered trolling and that if they didn’t think they could control themselves that they should block Colortura just to be safe. As stated above I think TLS is useless so have zero desire to play games if they want to push the line.
I'd like to suggest not moving discussions back into the Shelter, it goes against the spirit of releases. Better to create a new thread.

TLS is tripling down on how deadnaming and misgendering aren’t real things because trans isn’t real. My latest response: I honestly don’t care what your mythology tells you to believe. As long as you don’t troll outside the RR you will be fine.
For the past 15 years or so WF stopped playing lawyer ball and just warned people unofficially, banned for some time arbitrarily if they line stepped and then just kicked them out. I feel TLS is a useless sack of shit. In the Army he would be required to carry around a decent sized shrubbery for a couple months. Feeding, watering, fertilizing and just generally making sure it thrives and futilely trying to make up for all the oxygen the dumb as fuck soldier has stolen from the world. I haven’t seen TLS carry a plant. So that is my stance. But what do others think? Why should we pay to host his mendacity and vehemence?
In most situations once material is released it is considered permanently released. Threads disappearing can lead to people thinking things are being hidden. For anyone who understands that the thread has gone away because it is actively being used again, then it gives away some ideas of what might be currently being discussed.
I agree with not getting into rules lawyering if someone is trying to be cute and play around the rules. We've long since learned about that. However I think working within the rules and issuing warnings for trolling behaviour should be given a chance first. If someone keeps doing it then great, it's evidence of a ban being justified. If it stops them then great the system worked and a ban was avoided.
Slap him with a warning, ban him if he escalates; ship this thread back to Release with a note that the issue was reopened.
