Y'know ... I don't think prostitution is inherently wrong. Engaging in it as a sex worker, or as a customer. But he could have gone to someplace like Germany or the Netherlands, where — although I'm sure there are still exceptions — he could have found women who had other viable options to support themselves and were in the industry by choice. Instead, he specifically chose poor countries where he could have the power of knowing that they weren't in a position to say no. These are the kind of people who are running our country. (Oh, and apparently it's estimated that 40% of the prostitutes in Thailand are children. I'm sure his choice of that country, out of all the places you could theoretically hire a sex worker, is pure coincidence.)
Trump admin loses its case against a Cali university lecturer who threw a tear gas canister away from protestors back in July 2025. The prosecution tried to argue this represented assault with a deadly/dangerous weapon against the agents, but 1) he threw it well over their heads and 2) their own case for using tear gas is that it's "less than lethal". They also tried to argue his throwing it overarm made it more dangerous, but bodycam footage shows that the agent who threw it at the protestors used the same throw. They tried to argue the canister was coke can-sized and could cause substantial damage if it hit someone in the face - later testimony revealed it was a smaller pocket-sized canister.
