Thing is, it doesn't have to be a shit show You want it to be because you can't get over the hump of granting residency You'd rather post a link to one illegal doing something bad instead of noting that millions of others didn't come close to doing a bad thing on that same day Anyways, when it comes to my solution I'm just trying to help, but you can't help people who don't want it
So the town that found out that illegal immigrants weren’t actually a problem has a problem with removing them… I’m not seeing the gotcha here. Or are you just gloating at the destruction of the Constitution, and the cruelty of the means by which it’s happening?
Could just be a very safety conscious white would be looter (stopped by a Mexican American protester) but nice plate carrier under his hoody. Video here: https://bsky.app/profile/youranoncentral.bsky.social/post/3lrehwjjkf22d
Most of them are just standing around. The LA times had an info graphic of where troops are stationed. All at federal buildings or cargo customs at LAX. It doesn’t even total to 1,000. The rest of them are likely just on army bases where they were anyway. Many of the guard were engaged in state activities in fire zones in LA or on the border and now they’re just not doing anything useful. It’s all a joke.
While that's good, and credit to those people - I'm more referring to the military themselves, in such a way that might precipitate a standoff.
I agree that I can't get over that hump easily. I've said that if there were something in place where they could quickly be vetted and processed, and met other conditions, I'd be open to a discussion. But they would have to do their part. No, because none have been given.
In case anyone was wondering what the main aisle of a Lowe’s looks like at 10:10am (10am-2pm are the store Power Hours, busiest times) on a day when an ICE raid is rumored to happen.
Maybe you guys do have a problem with immigrants. But for fuck sake, it's been 400 years now. Sort yourselves out.
Man, you guys over there go a couple of decades without trying to kill each other and suddenly you're the experts on running a country!
Yep. Again, I'm pro-legal immigration and I have nothing against these temporary workers either. Just needs to be done within a legal and fair framework. You know what I'm not about? People who broke the law to gain access and act like they have a right to be here. They don't. I don't think you'd like that north of the border either, but maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe this should be in the leopard eating face party thread, but a guy who voted MAGA had 6 people working for him seized to be deported https://www.msn.com/en-us/politics/...-ice-detains-a-third-of-his-staff/ar-AA1GzzTn The catch here is though: So it's not about the illegals any more I guess
He's specifically talking about illegals who have been working long term in the country though and that because they're so essential/irreplaceable he's probably going to have to change up his policy a bit We don't have nearly the number of illegals you do, not even close, so it's never really an issue up here. Immigrants in Canada in general are regarded as good people who came here to work and start a new life When I do see a police report about an illegal committing a crime - which is rare - my first reaction is "deport his fucking ass", for sure
Clearly this is all a distraction from the tariff fallout that will be occurring very soon. The oligarchs want less taxes, less regulations but they can not look past the next quarter profits to see the problems this will all cause.
So what are your thoughts on the 530,000 people who immigrated legally, but were suddenly declared illegal by Trump today, and asked to self deport? What did they do wrong, besides be born in the wrong country?
It literally isn't a problem. Most people don't give a shit. Our country is built on immigration, but the vocal minority can't stand the thought of brown-skinned people having equal opportunities and rights. Unfortunately, there was enough apathy among the majority of sensible people that they didn't vote, and so now we are where we are.
