    I'm not going to pretend to understand it in any meaningful way. It's just that folks have realized that some roughly a century old mathematics, that were previously thought to only be useful in explaining part of what happens with sub-atomic particles, actually explains a bit more. This Bluesky thread has a breakdown of a paper talking about the maths. And here's a link to the actual paper.

    The maths don't explain everything about sub-atomic particles, but nudge us a bit farther forward in our understanding.
