A nodosaur, one of the ankylosaur family, was recently discovered in Canada in an incredible state of preservation. The wealth of detail in this find is mind-blowing . . . it's almost like a lifecast! Apparently there's even fossilized brain tissue present, which may be a first as far as dinosaur fossils go.

The mind blowing part of the National Geographic writeup is the point that if this had floated just a few hundred feet more in any direction in that prehistoric ocean it would have ended up in a location where we would likely never discover it. Makes you wonder what other wonders are out there that we will never find, or that may be waiting for people thousands of years from now to uncover.

If we survive long enough to build a Dyson Sphere, at some point, we'll begin "dismantling" the Earth (no pun intended, BTW), at which point, there will be innumerable discoveries, and we'll be forced to rewrite the history of our planet on a femtosecond by femtosecond basis. There are also going to be all kinds of insane arguments over what we should do with things like the Pyramids and other historical artifacts, as well as things as yet undiscovered.
