I feel like there's still some JPG compression going on here, and I can't find a setting.

Do you have an option to save as .png? That uses lossless compression.

No, but it'll save RAW and JPG at the same time. I'll do that and see what I get. Just don't wanna deal with RAW the whole time, since I'm not shooting for Esquire.

wow Forbin great pics of that hawk and the butterfly. Man that hawk is such a powerful looking bird!

Found out from the neighbors that they're nesting in the back yard across the street. My neighbor said he came out to walk their tiny rat-dog Sunday morning and both hawks were standing in the yard staring at him like "The fuck do you want?" He picked up his tiny rat dog and went back inside.

The neighbors think there are babies, so maybe that's why the papa hawk was wheeling around screeching all day saturday - "I'm a father! I'm father!"

I love raptors, but then again I also love our cute little chipmunks - and there seem to be fewer chipmunks since I started seeing the hawks (duh.)

Why is that guy checking out your ass?
