Arch and the Old Courthouse, home to the Dred Scott decision. First time I'd visited since the Arch's museum was revamped. The Old Cathedral was closed by the time I got to it. https://postimg.cc/gallery/D7r347C
Visited there a couple years ago. We were staying in Jonesboro for the week. Found a great brewery there. Was talking to one of the owners, asking if he could recommend anything to do. He told me that there was a small airline that had flights to St. Louis. The roundtrip tickets were $70-75 each. Flew out two days later, left at 8am, flew back at 10pm. We were at the Arch before 10am. Did the tour, then visited the Cathedral. Afterwards we got lunch and beers in Laclede's Landing. After that we toured around the courthouse and downtown area. Got dinner around 7pm. We caught the metro back to the airport around 8:30 and flew back to Jonesboro. It was a really awesome and fun day trip.
Went to see Riverdance at the Broward Center last week. Lots of fun! I was surprised by how much even the kids enjoyed it.
I'm a pretty proud papa today, my daughter did her thesis presentation for her Chem masters. I have no idea what it means, but I'm sure it's smart.
All I know about it is apparently she found something by accident having to do with catalysis that got her thesis director all excited.
Great photos! How is this one processed? I once saw an artist who processed photos inside egg shells, it was pretty cool.
Thanks. I used Google Photos to desaturate the photo, adjust contrast, brightness, black and white levels. The photo was taken at a park in north west Georgia. There's a natural spring that feeds into a pond, then to a streamlet which feeds to a swimming pool lined stones. I took the photo from a small foot bridge which goes over the streamlet under the small arch. The photo shows the streamlet to the left of the foot bridge.
Proud papa once again: My 2nd-oldest daughter graduates in a few weeks, and tonight was her art gallery premiere:
Giving up alcohol for Lent was the key to losing the stubborn 5-7# that I've been trying to get off my midsection for 2 years:
Earlier this week I tried ear acupuncture for the first time. Supposed to relieve stress and anxiety. Which it did until I became so de-stressed I started to doze off and my head rolled over to the side⦠NOW THAT WILL WAKE YOU UP IN THE MORNING!
