    I can't understand why people would do anything as a result of Donald Trumps banging the drum.

    Granted I've always had a lot of disdain for Trump going back to his egotistical penchant for putting his name on everything he owned but I at least understood how people liked him for his being interesting entertainment.

    I understand some GOPers supporting him because they are frustrated that the GOP doesn't seem to be able to do anything effectively to stop various President Obama intiatives.

    But actually committing violence because of some idea he promoted?

    I wouldn't commit violence on behalf of a Presidential candidate if Reagan came back from the dead and ordered it.

    Sometimes people just want an excuse to put the feelings they bury deep down inside, out on display. When a racist or bigot secures a position leadership, it seems to indicate that being a racist or bigot is now okay, or at least more apt to be given a pass when displayed openly. Trump is fanning flames, and stirring up shit he should really let lie, and it's going to come back and bite us all in the ass, whether he wins or not.

    To be fair to Trump, he hasn't advocated attacks against Muslims. It is, however, a natural extension of his rhetoric, which would play on the already inflammatory situation created by the Paris and California attacks.

    No idea. Knowing everything he did to the world and millions of people, one can't look at his speeches and stuff the same way.

    I had heard he had a great sense of humor but given humor is very culture and language specific I of course don't connect with it.
