Current sign outside Funny Bar: Do you love Star Trek But hate talking about it? [bar name] Is the place for you
Paramount's been doing it forever, I guess. but I've never heard the boy bands on Enterprise thing? was Hanson supposed to show up as 7/9's great grand uncles?
The story comes from Rick Berman and to his credit he said no to the higher ups. I believe it was Less Moonves who suggested it. Don’t know about Hanson.
that'd make sense.. I mean, Chekov was there to capitalize on the Monkees. For any of the 90s ones that had peaked about that time, slipping one of them in as the new transporter chief in S3 or whatever wouldn't have hurt as an attempt to broaden the base.
Here’s the clip in question and the more I dig into this the more I’m convinced that the idea originated with Sabrina because they had a lot of musical guests on the show. https://youtube.com/shorts/iM1BKHUcwik?si=wmwHgwJgYIjKJJZP
Didn't realize until a few years ago that the main hippy dude had a second Trek role, as General Denning in "Little Green Men"
The only ones I recognize apart from Bashir/Garak are the leads from Killing Eve. Who are the other two?
The late, great Charles Napier. He had a great career as a character actor. He was Murdock, the backstabbing bureaucrat, in Rambo: First Blood Part II He was the police guard who got cuffed, bludgeoned, gutted, and crucified in The Silence of the Lambs. He was the Air Force officer in the "It looks like a giant..." scenes in two Austin Powers films. He was the leader of the country band The Good Ole Boys in The Blues Brothers. I always enjoyed it when he turned up in something.
