When I hover over a username, Reddit's AI will create a single paragraph describing you and your posting habits. I've had the AI tell me users post NSFW images with a fetish for bellybuttons. I've had it tell me certain users are combative and argumentative. It will tell me what subreddits you hang out in and what your interests are. It will say things like "no negative or NSFW contributions observed." It told me that one user had "comments that are argumentative in r/starfleetacademy." I've seen it like some users and call them "collaborative and inquisitive" while just shitting on others. I had to scroll way down in one guy's post history to find what Reddit considered negative. Sometimes the AI is vague but sometimes its oddly specific, like telling me exactly what your posting about. I'm sure one dude might have rethought his decision to post so much about NFSW anime if he knew Reddit's AI was going to tell me all about it. What scares me is how easily the AI could be tweaked to keep track of certain users. Oh, you've posted negative comments about Israel? Don't worry. Reddit's AI is watching you and keeping a list.
Wait, you only get this if you're a mod? I'm hovering my curser over a username and not finding such a summary.
Yes. And I don’t get it site wide. You have to post in a subreddit that I moderate for me to see it. It’s part of the moderating tools. In fact, now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure I have to be in the mod control panel to see it.
But don't worry, the bigots and the fascists can now hide their posting history at any time from us mere peasants.
