Is there a reason that they're all being locked now? I know for a time after the original Horsemen took over, the idea was to leave them open for comments for a short time (a couple of weeks) before locking them.

Personally it doesn't really matter to me. I just noticed that change.

No special reason. Seemed like any issues to discuss were already being discussed elsewhere.

I will say that once I move the threads, I can't do anything else with them. My admin powers don't extend into the Shelter Release forum.

@Order2Chaos , can this be fixed? When I was Shelter mod, I also had mod powers in the Help Desk so I could tend to the released threads there.

Belay that, any admin can grant those rights. @Quest should be able act as a moderator in the Shelter Release forum, now (unless I screwed it up).

As for keeping them unlocked, yeah, that's my preference. I like that ultimately everybody can weigh in.

Yes, it works. :techman: I unlocked a few of the more recent threads.

Isn't it a software default that a thread gets locked when you move it? So you have to consciously click a button for that not to happen?

I have never noticed that happening when I've moved threads, though it might be that it is locked briefly prior to the move.

If it is, it's been disabled since before I took over the Shelter threads. 'Course, with the board going wonky a few weeks back, maybe a switch got flipped or something.
