you is one basackward sumbitch. there ain't nothin that ain't flawed but when you get 'fine' with your flaws then you lose........and you become a loser not only that a flawed loser
It's not. You don't earn respect, then demand respect, and/or assume entitled respect by default by dishing out disrespect. If you don't want to be a mooch by your own rules, change your rules.
I just used your term. I obviously don't agree that it is a "flaw," no matter how many entitled children insist otherwise.
Still suffering under the misapprehention that I SEEK respect. The only place I'm receiving all of this unearned respect is in your nappy melon head. Doggedly arguing "you are widely respected and you don't deserve it" is fucking wild.
You can't have it both ways, genius. To claim I am a mooch is to claim I have received what I have not earned.
there is nothing 'entitled' about giving or expecting respect. entitlement is when you prove yourself unworthy of said respect and still feel you deserve respect that is 'entitled' maybe a dictionary or more life experience is needed. in fact maybe you should look up 'flaw' because you got that wrong also.
there is nothing being demanded here this is the courtesty/respect you accord any stranger what exactly are you? have you no life experience beyond the midwest? have you always felt the world is out to get you? . you act like you are being 'forced' to live every minute of your life. you turn every situation into manuver for advantage and every one you meet is an adversary. you are one screwed up individual. this reminds me of that scene in Stripes...you are the real embodiment of Frances
Two seperate concepts. Respect and courtesy. Strangers get basic manners-please, thank you, excuse me, let me hold the door-and no more. I have traveled extensively and interacted with many people. What I have learned is that humans are generally shit golems who rarely deserve the benefit of the doubt, and that living by their collective approval is a self-defeating waste of energy. I recognize no obligation to them or their contentment, and expect nothing more in return.
The most important thing you don't seem to grasp is this: It's not about them. None of it. None at all. And this is coming from a self-described borderline misanthrope. We, individually, are only responsible for our own actions, opinions, and beliefs. Anything beyond that is flirting (or worse) with authoritarianism and the subjugation of "others" merely for being different. That's not to imply there shouldn't be accountability when harm is done to someone else. That's necessary, actually, to maintain balance and dissuade anti-social behavior. But it's imperative that we each *be* the kind of society and civilization we want to live in. It's our own responsibility and duty. Not to impress others or score points... simply because that's how a species collectively evolves. Your goals and aspirations for that evolution aren't going to be the same as everyone else's. We're not machines all running the same operational programming and acting in unison. Inefficient? Granted. But also more robust and resilient and just plain interesting. Complexity isn't easy and it can be messy at times, but it's much preferable to either stagnation or chaos. Complexity is where all the good stuff happens; enough stability to provide continuity while retaining enough adaptability to be sustainable. And for fuck's sake learn to laugh at absurdity, and yourself. In my experience I've often found them to be one and the same which not only keeps me amused but humble as well. Stop expecting people to be more like you and judging them whenever they fall short. That's a recipe for disappointment and bitterness.
For attention, for respect, for hugs from your deadbeat daddy; and not now, but always. Your life was folly. Don't get mad at me, I'm the humble messenger.
Absolutely agreed. Nothing more needs to be said. So long as "harm" is reasonably defined to exclude "offended me" or "hurt my feelings. I do. As it should be. I don't exist to service someone else's priorities. Oh I do, whether or not it is a "protected class" or a forbidden subject. The only thing I expect of people is to leave me out of their bullshit. That's humans for you.
Tell you what; if I'm lying, let's see all your libertarian pals come out of hiding to ride-or-die for you. Yeah.
You do not speak for what I like, sport. Nothing I say or do considers popular approval in any way, and it does not matter what you would prefer to believe.
To many folks don't realize that the reactionary right has effectively trapped us in a doom loop. The only solutions to this impending disaster are impossible to pass in our current environment. This government CANNOT survive the trajectory we're on. In order to raise the Confederacy again, they have to raze the structure in it's way. Maybe the right gets pushed back some in this election, MAYBE the one after...but the die is cast. To the extent that you can prepare yourself for the inevitable decent into outright fascism, or total government collapse (likely involving some sort of sloppy civil war) - you should go on and do that.
