Y'know, I wasn't planning on messing with fan-fic anymore, but maybe I spoke to soon. This all sort of hit me like a bolt out of the blue earlier. Some of you may remember my re-writes of Episodes I and II, as well as Star Trek VI (with the John Ford Klingons). What do y'all think about this?:
Actually, on further reflection, this storyline may mirror the original too closely to be worth the effort. I'm going to let it percolate a little more. What if Yoda didn't kark it, and survived to rebuild the order himself, having learned some important past lessons? After all, it was "Return of the Jedi", and Jedi can be plural. It wasn't "Return of the Last Jedi."
Something that's been bugging me since the Mandolorian implied a 25:1 (ish) aging rate with Babyyoda. Yoda should be no more than middle aged (presuming BY to be equivalent to a 2-3 year old) during RotJ. that whole 800 years of training Jedi bit suggests he's either a lot older or has been teaching since he was a 'tween. If the return is plural, and instead of surviving Yoda has to fade away still, maybe that could tie in to the fight with Palpy like the Luke/Kylo duel by astral projection? It'd provide an excuse to bring in the ghosts of jedi past-if not also create a beacon for the other survivors of order 66 to cameo show up.
Would love to see this. I love and still have your Ep I and II and your Einar Highlander eps. You do great work, would love to see more. Cheers.
