It would really be a pity if this kicked off now. There have over the last couple of weeks been some very encouraging noises about liberalisation coming from Saudi Arabia.
Really? Saudi Arabia has been on the verge of war with Iran for the last half decade? CNN, MSNBC, Fox, CBS, ABC, ESPN, the lady's sewing circle, Huffington Post, Breitbart, Drudge, and Salon have all failed me.
At least that long. The two are fighting no less than two proxy wars as we speak and their military jockeying has been going on longer than that. Also they won't actually go to war as Saudis can't fight no matter how many gee whiz gadgets they buy. Shit, those incompetant dumb asses can't even maintain the toys they have without westerners paid to do it for them. Your average Saudi is one of the most lazy, incompetent, and stupid creatures on Earth. There is the rare exception but most of them fall into that category.
Yeah, this smacks of a rationalisation for the recent arrests and upcoming hardlinerisms moreso than actual intent to declare war.
