And since every other western country and the military can provide 30 days paid vacation a year, there’s no reason every other business in the US cannot do the same. That’s an indication of employer ethic, not a reflection on the worker.

I've been hearing about this. Coonman tried to say that they didn't know the storm was coming, that's the whole point of forecasts. What a complete clusterfuck. Oh and the excuse that it was raining so they couldn't put salt down, they could have had they timed it right. It wasn't raining that bad that day, it had practically stopped by 5pm which is when the temperature starts to drop. It didn't start snowing until later that night, plenty of time to treat the roads.

Some people choose to live in a van down by the river.
