I stumbled across this movie recently, starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, age 52 (aka Jaime Lannister of Game of Thrones fame). It's pretty interesting, but I had a few problems with it. Warning, minor spoilers below. In short, the protagonist drives drunk in the first act, causes an accident, and understandably gets arrested for it. I don't think the movie was glamorizing drunk driving at all, because the rest of the movie was the protagonist dealing with those consequences of his stupid choices, instead of being bailed out by his trust fund. My biggest issue was hiring someone so handsome and old to play the role of a drunk driver. They couldn't have found some teenage country bumpkin? But, I was willing to suspend my disbelief because the acting from Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was phenomenal. I mean, he joined the white nationalist gang in prison and beat up a black guy as soon as he was in prison, how much more realistic can you get for that type of character? I thought the overall story was great, because the protagonist was essentially protecting his family, including his wife who was definitely not a mail order bride. If you have time, I suggest at least checking out the trailer: If you wanna watch the full movie, it's on Encore and Starz on cable, or on Amazon Prime.
So he goes from dui to white nationalist prison gang shot caller? That’s quite a descent. Or ascent. Not sure.
plenty of 40+/- year old men drive drunk and continue with the bad decisions. Was wonder what I'd see Jamie in next. Unfortunately, this story does not capture my interest. I'll pass.
He better have gotten a warning for this or you're an unfair biased libtard echo-chamber facilitator! If he did get a warning, you're still an unfair biased libtard echo-chamber facilitator because he should have gotten two warnings.
