Wordforge has often balanced back and forth between center right and center left with posters on the far right and far left coming and going depending upon whether or not they care for the environment of the moment. There isn't really any kind of political bubble beyond the western politics bubble, which is to be expected considering the demographic makeup of the board.
This is overstated. You'd have to go back to the naughts to find Wordforge dominated by righties. A two-decade linear slide to the left is not "balanced back and forth."
Wordforge is not the left. Wordforge is very much a centrist board. I've been on left wing boards, this place looks like the NRA by comparison. I've been on right wing boards and this place looks like the Democratic National Convention by comparison. Just because many of the Nazis and bigots left doesn't make WF a left wing board.
We've driven away the lefties, we've driven away the righties, now we just need to drive away the people in the middle and the circle of life will be complete. And we didn't even have to pay Elton John to sing about it.

Eh the boards in it's third decade, the vast majority of posters, right and left, who have been regulars here have died, become irregular visitors, or moved on entirely. Is how things go. I'm on the record as being against a couple of bans (I wouldn't have banned Dayton, and FF hadn't done anything new recently to justify it in my mind, although it would have been justified previously not letting him back after his Nazi avatar business), but there have only been a handful of bans of prominent posters in this decade, and most of them were because they went full mask off.
@Rimjob Bob here's the offending post: FF was clearly wrong (it's a fucking Nazi salute) but put me down in the "I don't think that was worthy of a permaban" camp.
Do I think what he says merited a permaban? Not necessarily. But I also don't blame the board owners for not wanting Nazi apologists on the board.
I'll say this about the ADL vis a vis Elon Musk: In questions of intent regarding Nazi gestures, terms, etc, I will defer to the Germans more so than the ADL if there is a disagreement.
