Obama isn't taking public funds? I'm confused. I thought his whole career up to this point was built on not running a campaign on private funds. Why the sudden change in principles?
Nope. An article from May 26th doesn't say why Obama hasn't released his full database too. I don't give a shit if your Excel spreadsheet is fucked up. Fix it and release the information.

There's already a lot of questions that have been raised about oddly named contributors and we also know there is significant interest in this campaign outside of this country. People who aren't SUPPOSE to be contributing. McCain either smells a rat or is taking one last wild shot at something that could save his ass. Or not.

As the poll numbers for McCain (you remember him, right?) drop, the excuses and the whining and the finger pointing and the bitching skyrocket. McCain has run an absolutely dreadful campaign these last three weeks, and it's had the happy side-effect of turning his supporters into last-straw-grasping idiots. It's like they've already accepted losing and have moved on to focus-grouping their excuses.

Perhaps McCain doesn't value his donors privacy. Not a surprise since he belongs to the party most interested in what takes place in your bedroom.
Probably for the same reason he can't seem to admit to being friends with known terrorists and etc. Obama doesn't have a great track record with being upfront and honest with the US public.

The funny thing is the media will not ever call him on it. Much the same way they never called Kerry on his lack of releasing his military records. The media in the US for whatever reason has decided to give Obama a pass on many of his past associations, involvements and etc.
I suppose it'd be nice if he released the names, but if he's not legally required to, I don't see what anyone can really do about it. Why didn't McCain make this a requirement when he was working to reform campaign finance laws?
It's called, "transparency", and it's something that the Left has been yammering about for a long time....in fact, it's been a recurring theme for Obama.
But, as is generally the case with in my opinion far too many politicians, when they makes demands of transparency and such, they are thinking more of everyone else and feel they should not be held to the same standards they demand of others.
Just out of curiosity, how many US politicians before this election have released the names of all the small donors to their presidential campaigns?
