I think it is for one simple reason. He doesn't want to know who is contributing to his campaign. It might not put him in a favorable light with some that currently support him.

Not really all that clever, Margaret.

It's a nice tactic though....a question you don't want to answer, so you pull out the "call me garamet or else" card.

It's OK. Your reluctance to answer and the little dance you do to justify it may keep Mewa entertained, but it goes much further to reinforce Uncle Albert's assessment of your antics here.

Well, if the money's origin even remotely resembles its usage, I can see why he'd want to remain silent about it. Upwards of $800,000 was sent from the Obama campaign to ACORN through a third group, Citizens Services Inc. When one inquires with Citizens Services about its work for the Obama campaign however; they are referred to ACORN.

I believe Obama's Federal Election Committee filings had to be amended back in August to reflect as much; with the new reports showing that Citizens Services Inc. -- a subsidiary of ACORN -- worked in "get-out-the-vote" projects for the Obama Campaign, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary. Couple that with the fact that ACORN has now been found to have committed thousands of instances of voter registration fraud on a multi-state level, perhaps it's not such a bad idea if we knew a bit more about the money flow.

One thing that was of particular note (in the sense that I wasn't quite sure what to make of it) was if one happened to look up an ACORN office under public records, about 300 different organizations would show up all registered at the same address. Consider the ACORN office in New Orleans -- at their address, 1024 Elysian Fields Ave. New Orleans, LA 70117, approximately 319 or so (admittedly, my countif may have been wonky) organizations were also registered. Here's just a few:

So, can one place really house so many 'different' organizations, all of which appear to be more or less identical? I used to work at the corporate headquarters of a pharmaceutical company, which had sister companies in health care information technology and supply solutions, and I'm don't think even we had that many different address at our headquarters!

To be perfectly honest, ACORN is sounding more and more corporate-like every day, varied only in the sense that it asserts a 'holier than thou' mission.....and it's kind of becoming increasingly difficult not to see them as little more than the barely concealed operations of a machine style politick.

I wonder if some of his contributors are people who were associated with Fannie Mae, or Freddie Mac?

    Still nothing, eh?

Pardot, Garamet, Cass, etc, all just don't care I suppose?

Why should the care about the evils of the Democratic party. They choose to ignore the negatives of the candidates for the party that is the most socialist in the US because to do otherwise might prevent that party from gaining additional powers over populace. Something they find to be quite distasteful. ;)

When their candidate gets called on something, they just choose to ignore it.

    Fucking hypocrites.

But, I'm just going to keep bumping this thread until someone answers me. Why hasn't Obama released his database of public donors?

See, Petey, here's your dilemma: I may not be the only poster here whose RL name is Margaret. However, I *am* the only poster here whose username is garamet. So when you keep conjuring someone named Margaret, I can't be certain you're addressing me.

Now, I'm sure Tamar could tell us whether or not, of the several hundred WF posters, someone else's first name is Margaret, but would that be a violation of Rule #5?

I wouldn't want to test that, would you?

Alternatively, you might consider not acting like a petulant child - unless you don't really want answers, you just want to troll. Matthew 7:16.

    Toldja, it's in Post #2.

I doubt any of the under-$200 contributors would be, unless they were just employees of Fannie or Freddie.

The fixation on the small contributors is telling. I guess Bear couldn't find any egregious offenders in the large contributors.

Is it your assumption that we receive subliminal messages from our candidate every morning so that we're able to answer these questions definitively, and we're just holding out on you to be mean?

That's not the case. All I can do is what you're doing - guess.

Oh, so there is really no 'reason' that Obama can't reveal his database of public donors.

    Just like I figured.

So we go back to the thread title. So what's he got to hide?

Well then, answer the fucking question. Is there a reason he can't reveal his database of public donors?

Very elaborate, Margaret. If that's your reason for not answering this question, we can add it to the litany of other rationalizations.

You should change your location to: "Dodging questions, reinforcing the myth..."

Come on now, use your imagination.

For someone that has sponsored at least 2 bills about transparency in the government, what possible reason could he have to NOT reveal his database of public donors?

I'm just trying to figure out why he wouldn't reveal it.

According to Pardot, his database broke back in May. Hopefully he has it fixed by now.

Blow it out your ass, fuckstain. What kind of retard expects someone to answer for the motivations of a complete stranger? If you're asking ragamet to speculate, or to answer for why she doesn't seem to care about the lack of disclosure, then you need to be less idiotic in your presentation.

And ragamet (don't play dumb. you know who the fuck I'm talking to), why isn't this important to you?

Well, maybe the answer is there is NO reason why Obama can't release the information, but Garamet doesn't want to admit it?

Or, like you said, she's playing dumb.

Albert has joined the Claque. Shocking for someone who claims to be such an individualist.

So why are you so interested in the small contributors? Couldn't find anything of interest among the large contributors?

God, just shut the fuck up with this tedious bullshit. The username you chose is a mangling of your real name. You'll take any possible excuse you can to avoid unambiguous answers to direct questions, won't you?

I'd like to have a few words with whatever asshole convinced you that you were clever.
