Race baiting is the only reason he's here. He has a long history of it, and it's no surprise that he's back at it after having been warned to knock it off.
I'll say what I've been saying every time something like this happens: keep expecting this until and unless someone takes a strong stand against it.

He's never going to engage in Tasvir-style slurs, or go off on drunken rants like Dinner. But he's had basically the same troll schtick for 18 years. He won't change, but I don't really think it's ban worthy. Let him keep showing his ass.
The fundamental problem here is that WF is a board founded on late 20th century ideas of what the internet should be, running up against 21st century realities of what the consequences of that are. Does Soma deserve a ban for that under WF rules? Absolutely not. At the same time, we now live in a world where it is widely acknowledged that platform holders are somewhat responsible for what they allow on those platforms, and activities online are seen as an extension of your real world self, not a separate existence.
He’s a race troll, nothing more. If it bothers some of you, say I pushed for it. I’m tired of racists who believe they are untouchable on a private board because of some erroneous dedication to a free speech that oppresses others.

This wouldn't be a problem now if the bigots and assholes who actively fucked with people until those members left had been dealt with then. Instead, good posters left and the racists, bigots, and trolls hung around. Why? We had people from every stripe here. If you think they're banning people solely because they don't like them, you're missing the larger picture. I certainly don't like Soma, I won't even pretend otherwise. Gturner was banned and there were people who complained, and damn near toppled the board. Dayton was banned and there were people who complained, though not nearly as bad. I mean in a world where people actively vote for Donald Trump, I guess I can understand Stockholm syndrome in large groups of people, but holy shit, what is with people and defending the assholes while letting those who actually wanted to be a part of this community walk away out of frustration? We're never going to have the community we once had. We're just not. Wordforge has a reputation for racists, misogynists, and trolls even years after the bulk of the board left. We're already down to little more than a handful of posters. We were down to that when we had Ramen, Gturner, Flashlight, Dinner, Soma, and Dayton. So even though half of those names are now out the door, you're upset that we might toss out another one. Oh no, the loss to the board will be tremendous. Who will stick around to tell LGBT people they're not human, joke about genocide against Muslims, or harass Anna for being black? Never has "pick your battles" been more appropriate here.
There's a big difference between banning someone for just being a racist troll, and banning based on peoples views not lining up enough. A rule change to say that overt racist trolling will earn warnings from this point forward? Would support that.
I'll remind you of you banning Messenger/Zodiac. As to your concerns we'll end up like ExIsle, hardly. We like sniping with and trolling each other at any given chance even if we politically align. Hell, I'd troll myself for the hell of it. However, there is a line between trolling and familial sniping, and race baiting crosses that line, nor am I willing to put up with it. The reason Soma hasn't been outright banned, regardless of whether it'd be justified or not (and Ramen set that precedent well) is that I wanted to give him the opportunity to speak for himself. The fact that he has chosen not to yet reply to my query is telling. Going forward, if @shootER and @Dr. Krieg are in agreement, race baiting will not be tolerated. This includes Soma's race trolling and Dinner's screeds. Soma has that long to reply to my query before I issue a warning, being as it has already been a day since I "pulled him from the sales floor".
QFT. This is something that every other black poster has brought up over and over again, to no avail. Me and Mewa used to get into fights over this because like most of the board, I saw online as "less real" or some bullshit. I mean, the fact that TNZ mods thought nothing about explicitly sending their shit stirrers like that Anusdrill guy over here should have been a clue, but I thank you for finally correcting something that never should have been apart of this board's culture to begin with.
