I don't know the guy, don't remember him, wasn't here, but going by what I've read here 100% this.

Another point is not being the most technically minded of souls I have no idea if such people could potentially trace posters via IPs or quantum slipstreams or whatnot. Do we really want the sort of people he might bring with him targeting our minority posters via other media?

For all our warts we do seem to manage to have an environment where gay, black, trans and even bald people can at least give the impression of feeling at home. The exchanges may at times be bitter but they are those of a squabbling family, not (I hope) threatening.

There are, however, people out there who unlike @Marso or @Paladin or @Federal Farmer or @oldfella1962 or @TheLonelySquire (who all by and large to me seem essentially harmless - not too sure about @Forbin ) would discuss via threats and intimidation.
