Animated. Sam Whitwer is Maul again. Set a year after "Clone Wars". Which puts it before "Solo" and "Rebels". https://www.superherohype.com/news/598143-darth-maul-shadow-lord-series-timeline-when-set-take-place I dunno, my Maul craving was nicely satisfied by "Clone Wars" and "Rebels" but other fans are junkies for him. So here comes more, you gluttons!
Never understood the appeal of Darth Maul, and even less so after they filled in a lot of his backstory with the Clone Wars.

Jeez, they are determined to fill in every single gap in the chronology and make a show about every single side character. They are really trying to to milk Star Wars for all it is worth. I am looking forward to ‘Tauntaun Adventures: The Battle For Hoth’ and ‘Nien Nunb: A Star Wars Story’.
The Further Adventures of Lobot Not Their Kind: Confessions of a Mos Eisley Bartender The Jawa Chronicles Dak: Portrait of a Hero
I just noticed they cut the Darth off the title, so I changed the thread title to reflect that. I suppose it make sense. By this time, Palpatine has tried to kill him, so he's probably not a Darth anymore.
An entire tv series based on fencing. and I thought The Alcolyte was boring. yea... Kathleen Kennedy was the problem.
competent saber work may be important for some. but, me .., I'm more interested in the story. you know, the parts referred to as 'filler'. that's the story and that's why I watch.
Good lord, he's got a little girl tag along that no doubt will be stronger and smarter and boss him around.
here, you dropped this. {{hands FF his dick}} The trailer I watched had nothing to do with 'competent saber work' or little girls. It looked like it was going to show how Maul got from the leader of Crimson Dawn in Solo to abandoned on Mustafar in Rebels. and since it animation and presumed only children will watch, maybe the asshats can keep their fucking politics out of it. that includes all the bullshit crying when it is added. hopefully, everyone will just shut the fuck up and let ME enjoy it.
Remember when the little girl ruined "Logan"? Me neither. Remember when everyone was enraged when she came back in "Deadpool & Wolverine"? Again, me neither.
Because she was awesome, Logan was awesome, and Deadpool 3 was awesome . You are not making the point you think you are.
Depends on what point you think he's making. I think he's making the point "maybe you shouldn't judge how bad the presence of a little girl is until you see her in action." Because X-23 could have been cringey and dragged down Logan or "Deadpool & Wolverine" with her return. But (and it sounds like for once most of us would be in agreement on this point) the actuality of the character was that she's awesome. Out of curiosity: would you agree that X-23 can do everything better than the aging Logan? If so, does that bother you that she's now the best that there is? And what stops her from being a dreaded "girl boss"?
OR, it's more of his fucktarded "You didn't criticize THAT girl in THOSE productions, therefore you cannot criticize a female in any other production" nonsense. She did at least have that potential. Not being an insufferable pain in the ass who is only there to beat everyone over the head with her "superiority" holds her back. Not being in a shit movie and preemptively implying everyone who doesn't like it is a "bigot" holds her back. It's subjective. You don't have to agree.
So, started out well enough. Time appears to be between Solo and Andor, as our LEO/POV lens guy is a planetary level cop worrying over the ISB getting involved. Padawan on the run being tempted to the dark side. Maul's motivations being set up... yeah, this'll be good so long as they leave enough time make the apprentice interesting before killing her and then get him to Malastaire on time to meet Ezra. I kinda want an animated Skywalker Academy next.
